Last weekend our High School Youth, with inspiration from Meagan Bonnin, held a car wash and link sale to raise funds to donate to the earthquake survivors in Haiti. Here is a note they sent out after the car wash and I do not think I could have said it better!

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

First off I would like to congratulate our success! We did great! To everyone who came out and helped in the upper 30 degree weather, ya'll are fantastic people. Thank you so much, it couldn't have been done with out you.

Another great add on to our day were the two news crews that came to see what our carwash was all about. (Channel 6 and 12)

Last but not least, and a drum roll if you so choose... Our total amount of money  raised through donations was... $5.23!

Just kidding:) the real sum was $1,151.00!!!!!!!!!! WE DID GREAT!

Thanks again to everyone, we made a difference today.

Yes, they did make a difference that day. They helped the people of Haiti, they helped the community see a positive side of teens and a positive side of the Catholic Church. Many people saw the face and hands of Jesus that day in our teens and I want to let our teens know how proud I am of them for what they accomplished.
